A full telephony platform built into a major enterprise CRM, covering purchasing, compliance, and call tracking, shipped as one product.

Introduction

A telephony platform built directly into a major enterprise CRM: the complete front-end for buying numbers, verifying caller IDs, tracking calls, and clearing regulatory compliance. Getting telephony live used to mean leaving the platform, opening a separate provider account, and wiring up the integration by hand. That was a developer-level task standing between a business and its first message. This collapses all of it into the product, self-serve from start to finish.

What I Built

Number Purchasing & Payments

A self-contained buy flow that never sends the user elsewhere. They browse available numbers, filter to what fits, and check out through Stripe right inside the platform. For countries with stricter rules, the regulatory steps fold into the same sequence instead of branching off into a separate process. The user moves from picking a number to owning one without ever hitting a dead end.

Compliance, Made Routine

Compliance is the part most users dread, and for good reason: A2P 10DLC, CNAM, and Shaken/STIR are dense, easy to get wrong, and unforgiving when you do. The build reduces each one to a guided, step-by-step wizard. Every form states plainly what it needs and why it needs it, so the requirement stops feeling like a legal trap. What used to demand a specialist becomes something a non-technical operator finishes on their own.

Caller ID & Call Tracking

Verified caller IDs let outbound calls show a familiar, trusted number, which lifts answer rates without any extra effort from the business. Number pools handle the other direction, attributing inbound calls back to the exact campaign that drove them. Both are advanced telephony features that normally take real technical setup. Here they sit behind a plain interface anyone can configure.

Messaging & Voicemail Controls

The day-to-day controls used to live scattered across the platform, which made routine changes harder than they should be. This pulls them into one settings surface: one-click SMS setup, custom voicemail and missed-call handling, sender compliance, and sending limits. Each control is where you would expect it, with sensible defaults already in place. Configuring an account becomes a few deliberate clicks rather than a hunt.

Built as One Product

Each surface is its own module, but they read as one coherent product. A shared component system keeps every interaction, control, and layout consistent from screen to screen. The dense data tables that telephony demands stay legible and fast even when fully populated. Nothing about the experience betrays that four distinct systems sit underneath it.

Outcome

Setup that once required a separate provider account and a developer now happens inside the platform in minutes, self-serve from first number to live compliance. And it held. The front-end stayed steady as the platform scaled from 15,000 to 75,000 sub-accounts, interactions consistent and surfaces fast the whole way up. The measure of the work is what the user no longer has to think about.
